President's Message
Shari Guinta,
President
Women of Peace and Hope
Being at peace
with yourself is a direct
result of finding peace with God.
And the peace of
God, which passeth all
understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians
4:7
The Catholic
Women’s League of Canada (the
League) is a vital, active and visioning organization of Catholic women
who
want to serve God’s people through service in their parish and
communities. The
women of the League do this in many ways with different styles but with
vigor
and spiritual strength.
If you are a member
in Ontario be assured
that your sisters in the League are bound with you through faith and
pray for
you in many ways. If you are not yet a member, know that you are
welcome to
join the more than 54,000 voices in Ontario that speak for those who
cannot
speak for themselves. We welcome you to participate in committee work
and
resolutions when we meet with government, serve in many aspects of
parish life
where helping hands are needed and serve in the community through
social action
and community service.
The League has
often received the
commendation and keen appreciation of federal, provincial and municipal
authorities for the voluntary services ably performed by its
nation-wide
membership.
The work of the
members of the Catholic
Women’s League of Canada is diverse and multi faceted but always done
with a
spiritual foundation and aspect to it. If you are a woman wanting to
belong to
“…a national organization rooted in gospel values calling its members
to
holiness through service to the people of God” then I invite you to
join the
voices who work tirelessly toward the spiritual enrichment of
themselves and
for God and Canada. |
